Based on a Deloitte report, RPA is expected to replace, on average, 20-52% of current FTE activity. What is RPA?
RPA is a software robot that automates repetitive everyday tasks. These tasks can be as simple as transferring paper forms to digital systems, daily scheduling, or processing transactions. No matter the task, RPA can be built into any process to create exponential benefit. The robot is taught to recognize unique data details like capital letters or data sources. It requires detailed setups based on keystrokes used during a task and then automatically repeats these steps to complete the task as many times as may be required. This tool can be used to complement existing systems and applications. Now, instead of using high-valued employees to do low-level, manual tasks, they can be deployed to perform higher-value activities that can lead to increased efficiency, reduction in errors, and greater job satisfaction for the employee.
