What do James Harden and Arcus Advisors have in common? We are both bullish on H-Town! And bullish on 2021!
As reported last week and as witnessed by our team here at Washington Office Company, James Harden’s restaurant company, THIRTEEN, held a job fair in our building, looking to hire over 100 workers. The Beard is set to open a fine-dining restaurant in midtown in the first quarter of 2021. If that doesn’t show support and belief in our incredible city, and its future, I don’t know what does.
The media and others have had comments such as “odd-timing” and “interesting” and “why now?” Another commonality we share with Mr. Harden! WE have received similar commentary about starting Arcus Advisors right now, in the middle of a pandemic, but the overarching comment has been BRAVE. Almost every person we meet with has used the word BRAVE. We’ve come to think that maybe that is code for foolish?
But we aren’t foolish, we are believers! Believers in our clients, in our people, and in our city. In the 2 short months since we officially launched, we have been able to provide opportunities for 10 senior-level consultants who are providing innovative but practical solutions to help companies transform and grow their businesses. We take a laser-focused approach on improving and automating the accounting and finance functions to ensure the CEO and CFO have the information they need to properly forecast 2021 and beyond and make the decisions necessary to grow and thrive.
We do this with a simple approach: we hire highly experienced, smart people, who have a passion for excellence. We PARTNER with senior leadership to assess and then implement a strong plan for success. That’s what we do, and we do it every day. Smart People Getting it Done – that’s our tagline, our mission and our focus.
We are so excited about providing more opportunities for our people and helping our clients in the coming years. If that makes us BRAVE, then so be it, but I think it also makes us SMART.
